White Fillings

White fillings perform the same function as amalgam fillings while offering patients a much more natural-looking finish.

White fillings are made from a composite resin material that is bonded to the tooth in question. Not only are they much more aesthetically pleasing, providing a finish that means no one will even be able to tell you have had a filling placed, but they also help strengthen the treated tooth. This also allows our highly skilled team to shape and sculpt the filling material so that the finished tooth is not only restored, but fits in perfectly naturally with the rest of the mouth.

White fillings are most often chosen by our patients looking for a more aesthetically-pleasing finish, but they also offer oral health benefits as they’re less likely to crack and do not contain any mercury, unlike amalgam fillings. While there might be situations where we still recommend amalgam fillings, in many cases, white fillings provide a suitable, and much more desirable alternative.
