As part of our commitment to keeping up to date with cutting-edge dental technology, Brimington Dental Practice has invested in BIOLASE for laser dentistry.

Having been used in medical treatments and surgeries for years, laser technology has helped to vastly increase patient comfort and the overall patient experience when it comes to receiving dental surgery.
Committed as we are to providing the highest standard of care, especially when it comes to surgery, we have invested in the BIOLASE Epic laser which, when used in surgery, can in most cases remove the need for scalpels and stitches almost completely. Using laser where we once would have had to use scalpels, there is far less blood, pain, and inflammation on the part of the patient and has helped to improve patient recovery immeasurably.

Laser dentistry is most often used during implant surgery, but we might also use it when carrying out pocket surgery or when exposing an implant or canine for treatment. BIOLASE Epic can also be used when treating gum disease as it effectively kills any bacteria that are present and can be used to remove infected tissue from the gums.

The BIOLASE Epic laser is also used to:

• Relive pain from ulcers or cold sores
• Treat a ‘gummy’ smile
• Remove oral growths
• Desensitise the root of a tooth
• Relieve TMJ/myofascial pain
