At Brimington Dental Practice, we always recommend replacing missing teeth wherever suitable and traditional dentures remain a popular option.

Our team knows and understands just how much missing teeth – or a severely damaged tooth – can affect the everyday lives of our patients. They can make it much harder to eat and chew, can impact your ability to speak, and can cause you to feel self-conscious when smiling. On top of this, missing teeth can affect the overall oral health of the patient, threatening the long-term health of the surrounding teeth and jaw.

Dentures remain a popular way to address these issues and are often chosen by patients as their method of replacement for missing or extracted teeth. They are a cost-effective option and can be used to replace up to a whole arch of teeth at once, as well as to replace just one missing tooth. Partial dentures can also be used to replace multiple missing teeth that are non-adjacent.

Traditional dentures are removable and require a good daily routine that includes cleaning them after eating and leaving them in an antibacterial solution overnight to ensure they remain fresh and hygienic. They are often held in place via an adhesive such as dental glue, although partial dental usually uses the neighbouring healthy teeth as support.

At Brimington Dental Practice, we offer a wide range of tooth replacement options alongside dentures, including bridges and dental implants. We’ll make sure to discuss all your options with you at a consultation with our expert team, and ensure you’re making the decision that most suits you and your lifestyle.
